Thomas "TC" Alexander Collins, 54, went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2021 while spending time at his beloved cabin in Manistee, MI.
Thomas was born on October 19, 1966 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Thomas Howard and Doris Dorene (Brown) Collins. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1984 where he earned his varsity letters in wrestling, football, and baseball. He was a State wrestler for multiple years.
Thomas was a Private First Class in the Marine Corps where he earned his Pistol Expert Badge, Rifle Expert Badge and 2 - Meritorious Mast. He was very proud of his time in the Marines. He wrestled and played football for them as well.
TC was a Senior Team Leader at Denso Manufacturing for nearly 30 years. He put his heart into his work. Tom was an extremely hard worker and respected by all.
He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Tom would also spend hours cutting wood to warm his home. He was very proud of providing for his family and caring for his friends. He enjoyed going to concerts and live performances. He was at home at his cabin up north or with a drink in hand walking down Fremont Street in Las Vegas. Tom was excited to recently have taken up golfing as well.
In 2014, Tom reconnected with his highschool sweetheart and they were married in October of that year. Those who knew Tom knew how much he loved his wife Jennifer. They packed many lifetimes of love in the time they shared together, both as kids and as adults. During their marriage, they taught each other to live life to the fullest and never go to bed angry.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Dorene Collins; his wife, Jennifer Collins; his children, Steven Collins, Kelsi Collins, Emily (Taylor) Slayton, and Allison (Robert) Lay; his brother, Steven Collins; his mother-in-law, Colleen Greenhoe; his brother-in-law, Robert (Lisa) Greenhoe; and countless friends who were like his extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Collins.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, Michigan 49068.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Rhema Word Outreach Center, 21342 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017, with Pastor Cheryl Jones officiating.
A memorial bonfire will be held by the family at a later date to celebrate his life.
