Michael Anthony Sparks Jr.

Michael Anthony Sparks, Jr., 40, of Coldwater, passed away on October 12, 2024 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, Battle Creek, MI. He was born on January 12, 1984 to Michael Anthony Sparks, Sr. and Catherine Dawn Bigalow in Battle Creek. Michael love rock and roll music, he was a DJ and went by the nickname “DJ Sparky”. Michael liked to play video games, go horseback riding and swimming. He was a joy to be around ever since he was born and everyone who met him, really liked him. He was a big fan of Star Trek, his favorite character was Data.

Michael is survived by his father and stepmom, Michael Sr. and Kendra Sparks; aunt, guardian and Momma, Cheryl Hoffman; family members, Wyatt Gould, April Powers, Skyler Hoffman, Clayton Renold, Michelle Sattler and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine, great-grandmother, Margaret Sparks, uncles, Terry Sparks, Tony Anthony Sparks and cousin, Brandon Bronson. 

At the request of Michael’s family, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life for Michael at a later date.
