Martha Bell Wolf

Martha Bell Wolf, 85, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2024 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan. 

She was born on February 22, 1939 to James and Josie (Knick) McGuire in Dearborn, Michigan.

Martha worked in Quality Control at Mac Valves, Inc for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2009.

Martha’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Before she moved to Marshall in 2021, she resided in South Lyon and enjoyed regular Sunday lunches with her son, David and his wife, Tina and playing cards with her neighbors, Delores and Alice. Completing crossword puzzles and watching political commentary on TV, were a couple of her favorite hobbies. Martha had a great ability to figure out how to fix things, whether it was around the house or just helping her children and friends with problem solving. She literally remodeled her own bathroom. Martha was a wonderful mom and woman with a great sense of humor. She loved people and truly wanted anyone she came in contact with to feel welcomed, Martha never met a stranger. After relocating to Marshall, she especially loved going to the Franke Center in Marshall among other venues to watch her family perform live theater.

Martha is survived by her loving children, Mary Jo (Allan) Weeks of Marshall, Michigan, David J. (Tina) Wolf of Howell, Michigan, Bobbie Jean (John) Hairell of Monroe, Georgia, and William F. Wolf of Novi, Michigan; her grandchildren, Melissa (Ryan) Olsen, Christopher (Sara) Weeks, Nicole Doumanian and Samuel Doumanian; her great grandchildren, Madeleine, Kenley, Curtis and Henry and her brother, James McGuire, Jr. of Asheville, N Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Reginald McGuire, her sisters, Lois Swoish, Geraldine Oberdorf, Mary Stevens and Margaret Perrow.

A private Celebration of Life for Martha will be held at a later date.
