Harry Otto Zimmerman II

Harry Otto Zimmerman II, 79, of Battle Creek, MI passed away at his home on December 27, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 22, 1941 in Mount Vernon, OH to parents, Donald Roy and Anneilly Elizabeth (Bascomb) Zimmerman. Harry graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1959. He worked for Sealtest Dairy from 1959 - 1971. He then attended the Michigan State Police Academy, graduating in 1972. He served the Michigan State Police from 1972 - 1997. Harry was united in marriage with Linda D. Morris-Zimmerman on March 13, 1994. After retirement Harry and Linda enjoyed traveling out west. Linda preceded him in death on March 19, 2020. Harry is survived by his children Laura (Mark) Bollman, and Kristine (Nick) Zimmerman; his sister Margaret Williams; step-children, Monica (Chris) Morris-Moats, and Amy (Chuck) Mallory; grandchildren, C. Joseph Monroe, Jessica Monroe, Kendyl Moats. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Anneilly Zimmerman; and his brother Frederick Zimmerman.
In accordance with Harry's wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions are requested to Doris Klaussen Developmental Center or Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
