Marshall

Drew "Dube" Edward Millard, 20, of Marshall, Michigan was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in Marshall, Michigan.

Drew was born on November 19, 2003 to Garry and Cathy Millard in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Drew attended Marshall Public Schools and graduated in 2022. Drew worked for Berron's Tree Service in Marshall for Joel and Holly Irish and had recently decided to re- join their crew once again in the beginning of October. In Drew’s early year’s he was very active in plays at the Frank Center in Marshall. He even had a leading role in the play, “Back to the EIGHTIES”, Where Drew and his crew of friends showcased their singing and acting skills. During high school Drew also attended KCC and was pursuing a certificate in Industrial Electricity/ Electronics. Drew was fortunate to be accepted into the journeyman electrician apprentice program with the Battle Creek IBEW Local 445. He worked at job sites including local schools, the Veterans Hospital in Battle Creek, C W Post, Kellogg’s and many other companies. Drew was a proud member of the Marshall Red Hawks football team. Drew loved playing linebacker, but his favorite position was always running back. He loved running the ball and knocking down defenders. His favorite game was against Coldwater where Drew was able to run for many yards in his 10th grade year and make several touchdowns. Drew was also captain of his football team that year. Drew wore many jersey numbers during his career at Marshall. In his senior year, his jersey was #32. Outside of work Drew had many interests which include building Lego sets, reading poetry, riding motorcycles, going to car meets, playing video games (gaming name-Monkey Man), playing the acoustic guitar and writing his own music. He was an excellent country singer but also enjoyed listening to classic rock. Meeting his friends for weight and strength training was an important part of Drew's life, he even holds the freshman record for most lifted weight of 250 lbs. bench press. Deciding to go on a random car ride to turn up the music and enjoy the countryside was one of Drew's favorite things to do. He loved animals, especially his Australian Shepherd/Blue Healer dog "Sydney." Drew is totally her baby, just ask anyone close to him! Being a free spirit, Drew wanted to be outside, in nature, which brought him great comfort. Drew will be so missed by his loving family, his loving girlfriend Faye Green, his tremendous group of friends, for his infectious smile, big dimples and a twinkle in his eye, for his hugs and always telling you “I love you.”

Drew showed his love of God through water baptism at First Baptist Church in Bellevue and would want others to let God into your hearts. John 3:16

Drew is survived by his parents, Garry and Cathy Millard of Marshall, Michigan; his sister, Summer Millard of Marshall, Michigan; his maternal grandmother, Barb (Baba) Remaley of Battle Creek, Michigan; his girlfriend, Faye Green of Charlotte, Michigan; his aunts, Chrissy Remaley of Canton, Michigan, Carolyn (Seth) Reed of Battle Creek, Michigan; his uncles, Roe Millard of Riviera Beach, Florida and Roddy (Grace) Millard of Sterling Heights, Natala (Mike) Hardiman of Gull Lake and Sherree (Ben) Jones of Westland Michigan.
