Dana Jo Jezowski

Dana Jo Jezowski, 70, passed into the arms of her loving Savior on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Villa at Winston Ct. in Marshall, Michigan. She was born and raised in the Homer, Michigan area, graduating as valedictorian of her Homer High School class. Dana continued her education at Kellogg Community College with her degree in nursing.

Dana loved nature and enjoyed raising a variety of animals, cultivating her garden, and surrounding her home with flowers. She loved telling stories. She invested a lot of time ferrying her kids to church, the swimming pool, and sporting events. Dana also went out of her way to bring other children to church functions and was a loyal supporter of the Awana program. Her faith was of utmost importance to her. More than anything, she loved her Lord, and she loved people. She wanted her five sons, three daughters-in-law, and twelve grandchildren to know how much she loved them. She would greet them with open arms, saying, “Hi, hi!” followed by “I love you.” Always, “I love you.”

Dana will be remembered as a woman who gave sacrificially. She served her family tirelessly, especially her adult son, Joel, who (due to Muscular Dystrophy) needed constant care. Her spunky spirit and willingness to do one more thing for the good of Joel and those around her was commendable.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Jezowski, to whom she was married for fifty years. Her siblings are Dale (Sharla) Vincent, Dean (Susan) Vincent, Dawn (Jeff) Klann. Her four surviving sons are Daniel Jezowski, Joshua (Emily) Jezowski, Samuel (Savannah) Jezowski, and Jonathan (Lydia) Jezowski. Her grandchildren are David, Micah, Isabella, Josephine, Evangeline, Evelyn, Lauren, Linnet, Sophie, Joseph, Jayson, and Lark. She is preceded in death by her son, Joel, and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 10:00 –11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Litchfield (6630 Litchfield Rd, Litchfield, MI 49252) with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Pastor Brent Stille officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Homer, Michigan.
