Bruce Edward Broughton

Bruce Edward Broughton, 67, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on September 5, 2024 at the Wing's of Hope Hospice in Allegan, Michigan. 

He was born on February 14, 1957 to Edward "Charlie" and Jean (Patton) Broughton in Battle Creek, Michigan. 

On April 12, 1980, Bruce married Debra Perkins in Battle Creek, Michigan sadly she passed away on June 30, 2009.

 Bruce was a graduate of Battle Creek Central, he continued his education at Kellogg Community College earning his Associates Degree in Applied Science in Electronics Technology and then afterwards attending Western Michigan University, graduating with his Bachelor of Science Degree.

Bruce was a long-time Engineer for Kellogg Cereal Company in Battle Creek, Michigan.

He loved to bowl, especially in leagues at Nottke's, Spring Lake Lanes, and M-66 Lanes, all in Battle Creek, Michigan. He also enjoyed playing cards, listening to and collecting music. He loved his family, especially his children, with all his heart and will be truly missed for his big sense of humor and being a true free spirit.

Bruce is survived by his loving children- two daughters, Christina Broughton-Spiller and Audrea Broughton and son, Bruce (Jenelle) Broughton, Jr. all of Battle Creek, Michigan; and his sister, Bridgette Broughton of Lansing, Michigan. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Belinda Armstrong.

Private graveside services for Bruce will be held at a later date.
